Hartz Ultraguard Pro is designed to kill fleas and ticks on contact, typically within minutes of application. It provides immediate relief by targeting adult fleas and ticks, while also disrupting their life cycle to prevent future infestations. However, the exact speed may vary depending on the specific product formulation and environmental conditions. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions for optimal results.

There is a high probability that your cat will have more fleas on it. Fleas are tiny little things that reproduce fast, and your cat could probably have eggs or more fleas on it. If you want to prevent fleas, there are really good medicines out there you could use.
K9 Advantix offers advantages such as broad-spectrum protection against fleas, ticks, and mosquitoes, with a fast-acting formula that generally provides quick relief. It also repels pests, reducing the chances of bites. However, it can be toxic to cats if they come into contact with treated dogs, which is a significant disadvantage for multi-pet households. Zodiac Spot On is typically more affordable and may be easier to find, but it may not provide as comprehensive protection or rapid action as K9 Advantix.
I live in Kentucky on lake Barkley and we have alot of ticks but as soon as the toad and frog babies start to come out of the lake and ponds the ticks disapear and fast. So the baby frogs and toads are what eat the Ticks around here. Mike

They run very fast, if they are not lazy. I have a female Brittany Spaniel and we take her out for runs every night and she runs so fast you don't even see her legs moving. But when you run them check for ticks because my Brittany gets some on her but yes they run VERY fast.
