I've had crickets in the basket of the pool that had been there for hours. Though they appear dead, I lay them out in the shade (out of the hot sun) and check them hourly. Little by little, they come back to life. It starts out with the antennae flinching a little. Then the legs start to work a little. Before long (a few hours at least) I can turn them loose in the garden. Blows my mind every time!
yes crickets can drown. they can not swim.
Crickets lay eggs, but if they are left too long they can sometimes be eaten.
No, crickets do not have antennae on their hind end. They have two long antennae on the top of their head.
they don't.
The crickets can live in a bag for almost 24 hours. Crickets holder or cage is a better option if you want them to live for a longer period.
Crickets typically chirp during the night for about 4-5 hours.
they swim as long as they can
No, but a word like swine would be. Swim has the short I as in dim and slim.

The two variables that will affect how long crickets live are temperature and predation. Crickets tend to have shorter lifespans in higher temperatures, while predation from other animals can also impact their longevity.
