Ctenocephalides orientis, who is a member of the Flea-order (Siphonoptera) has 14 chromosomes i all. That is 7 chromosome-pairs.

This is commonly denoted as: 2n = 14

Please note, that this cannot be extrapolated to all other species in Siphonoptera. Other species (that I know of) varies fra 2n = 10 to 2n = 18.
