In short, no, the praying mantis are not poisonous. They do have sharp spikes on their forelegs which they can use to strike with if harassed. For the most part, they are pretty safe to handle. If you notice them standing on their back legs and getting into a defensive position, then you know are they getting ready to strike.
A pray mantis is not poisonous is used to catch them all the time and i never got a rash or anything like that.
I think you mean a praying mantis, and not, they are not poisonous.
