If it's just water, even carbonated water (ie water with carbon dioxide, a gas, added) it isn't fattening at all. Water has no calories. If, on the other hand, it's one of those flavored, sweetened, vitamined "waters", it could contain more calories and therefore be considered more fattening (although I very much doubt that there's anything resembling water out there that contains any kind of fat in itself).
