There is in fact such thing as a 'flying red spider.' They live in holes and come out onto rocks or soil so that they warm up. The female and baby spider are significantly smaller than the male 'flying red Spiders'. They have red limbs and body. The very tips of their legs are black as well as their pincers, (jaws).
