prawn bears stalked eyes whereas cockroach does not?
its near its eyes
Hugely different organisms. External obvious differences: Prawns have swimmerets (pleopods), a tailfan (uropods flanking telson), rostrum, claws (chelated pereiopods), stalked eyes, long antennae, antennules. Grasshoppers have wings, large hind legs (femurs?), short antennae, unstalked eyes. Ignore morphology, if it's living underwater it isn't a grasshopper. ;)
It allows the crayfish to burrow into the river bed and leave its eyes protruding to look for danger.
While specific statistics on the number of people who get cockroach feces in their eyes are not readily available, such incidents are considered rare. Cockroach droppings can cause allergic reactions or respiratory issues, but direct contact with the eyes is uncommon. Most reports of cockroach-related health issues focus on allergies and asthma rather than eye exposure. Proper hygiene and pest control can help minimize such risks.
Queen conchs have stalked eyes to enhance their visual field and improve their ability to detect predators and navigate their environment. The elongated stalks allow their eyes to be positioned higher and further away from their bodies, providing a broader perspective while minimizing exposure to threats. This adaptation helps them survive in their natural habitat by facilitating better awareness of their surroundings.

In cockroach, various structures like antennae, labium, maxillary palps, labial palps , compound eyes, simple eyes etc., are sensory in nature. These structures contain various receptors like chemoreceptors, mechanoreceptors, photoreceptors, thermoreceptors, etc. These receptors contain units like ommatidia, sensilla and Scolopendra.
The hunter stalked silently through the forest, eyes trained on its prey.
Roaches have a pair of compound eyes, each made up of more than 2,000 individual hexagonal-shaped facets and each facet has its own optic nerve.
