A slug is a tough skinned terrestial molusk. It is a serious plant pest and it typically lacks a shell, and it secretes a film of mucus for protection.

There are 2 kinds of slugs. Saltwater or Freshwater.

Slugs react to salt as its skin, slugs need to be saturated to survive, the salt absorbs the water from its body which dehydrates it then kills it... such as you're in a raft... no water, in the sea, and if you drink it... You get thirstier and then might dehydrate you.
