The boys obeyed the man's words and realized that he is the new guy who just arrived in their small town Dapitan. They all became acquainted with each other until one day, the man asked the boys if they want to learn a new language. The boys agreed and studied English. The man offered help to Lope and said that he would pay a visit and check his mother's eyes. The man eventually performed an operation to Lope's mother's eyes and it was successful.
