The sticky buds on the sundew plant are called glandular trichomes or tentacles. These specialized structures secrete a sticky, adhesive substance that traps insects, allowing the plant to obtain nutrients through digestion. The tentacles also respond to touch, curling around captured prey to enhance the trapping process.
Sticky buds typically refer to cannabis flower buds that are particularly resinous and sticky to the touch. The stickiness is due to the trichomes, which contain the cannabinoids and other compounds responsible for the plant's effects. This stickiness is often considered a sign of high-quality cannabis.
Buds are sticky due to the presence of trichomes, which are tiny resin glands that contain cannabinoids and terpenes. These sticky substances serve as a defense mechanism for the plant, deterring insects and animals from consuming it. The stickiness also helps to protect the plant from pathogens and environmental stressors.
you dont grow the buds they grow by themselves on the female plant.
Leaves develop from buds. A bud that grows out from an existing stem is called an axillary bud (buds that are at the tip of a developing stem are called terminal buds). The point of attachment between the stem and the petiole (the leaf stalk) is called a node.
Yes, plant growth can occur at lateral buds. Lateral buds are potential sites for new shoot development and can give rise to branches or new stems. When activated, lateral buds can contribute to overall plant growth and branching.
The process of attaching lateral buds cut from a parent plant to another plant is called "grafting." This horticultural technique involves joining the tissues of one plant to another so they can grow together. Grafting is commonly used to propagate plants, improve disease resistance, or enhance fruit production. The part of the plant that provides the root system is called the "rootstock," while the bud or scion is the part that is grafted onto it.

The budding(flowering) period is usually 8 - 10 wk's,don't water or feed for 7-10 days at end of flowering, your buds are supposed to be sticky(sign of good crop),you should see orange/gingery bits(looks like strands of hair) on your buds, if you have done the 8-10 weeks of flowering its time to cut the plant down & hang your buds upside down on a piece of string(like a clothes line) for a further week/10days to dry then its puff puff. hope this helps. I,m not an expert but that's how i do it. Go on you tube & type in marijuana growing instructions and you'l find all the answers.
The class of hormones called "Auxins" have this affect on plants.
The pieces of garlic when you peel the skin off are usually called cloves but sometimes are called buds. The whole bulb of garlic with roots and all is sometimes called a head or bud of garlic. The garlic plant forms buds when the flowers are forming. It could be any of these things.
