Not all beetles do this but there are certainly a lot of beetles that do live in wood at various stages of their life. The most famous of which is "woodworm".

Beetles are decomposers. I am a teacher and i once did an project where the beetles ate wood.

Most beetles communicate with other beetles with chemicals. Males often locate females by their scent. Beetles usually can't see very well. Some beetle make sounds, usually scraping their mouthparts together or rubbing their legs on their bodies. Some beetles that live in dead wood drum and make vibrations. "Fireflies' and "lightning bugs' are actually beetles. They glow in the dark to communicate.
Beetles and trees can have a symbiotic relationship where beetles feed on the tree's bark or wood, providing them with food and shelter, while the tree benefits from the beetles' role in breaking down dead wood and returning nutrients to the soil. However, some beetles can also be harmful to trees by burrowing into the wood, causing damage and potentially killing the tree.
Blood and wood do not have the same vowel sound. Blood is phonetically bluhd, whereas wood is wood with a short o sound.
A woodpile can host a variety of insects, including wood-boring beetles like powderpost beetles and bark beetles, which thrive in decaying wood. Termites may also inhabit woodpiles, especially if the wood is untreated and damp. Additionally, ants, spiders, and various species of beetles and moths may be found, attracted by the shelter and moisture the wood provides. These insects play important roles in the ecosystem, aiding in decomposition and nutrient cycling.
Yes they can but their main form of "transport" is walking on their appendages. Wood Beetles usually don't fly very much during their lifespans because once they find a tree they bore into it and spend much of their lives there.
Adult Wood Boring Beetles have breathing ports called spiracles located in their abdomen. These beetles are very strong fliers so they can move by flight or by walking.
