What do you do when you get bedbugs?

well of course go to the doctor and they will give the right medicine to treat the rash that the bed bug will eventually form in your skin

bedbug bites are easy to identify because they look like misquito bites but they are always 3 in a row

They are very hard to see. Dim the lights in the room, get a small flashlight (not too bright) and hold it at a side angle to cast shadows easier on the surface you are looking. If you see one (or something suspicious) collect it on a piece of scotch tape for identification.

well it will be hard to find a bedbug because they are said to be small but if you do then i guess you kill with any bug spray because it is considered a bug. or you can wash your pillow because that is where they are most found or where they tend to live

Take your bedding off and wash immediately.

We cut construction bags and draped them over our box spring (under matteress) to hinder them climbing up.

Take all of your clothes and run the clean ones thru the dryer (heat treatment) and pack into plastic bags. I labeled my bags and also put bags aside of clothes I don't wear often.

Dryer has to be around 119 degrees for about 20mins to be effective.

Let your landlord know!

I found that steaming your floor, bed edges and etc helped keep them at a minimum since steam is very hot.

They like Anything fibrous, wood, walls, clothing.

They CAN NOT climb on plastic. I also heard they don't cross tile easily.

Manually check your bedding almost daily, keep track of your bites. Any bugs you find, seal them in packing tape for evidence to pest control.

you check for bedbugs by moving around cushions, pillows, and mattresses in the morning or afternoon. the bugs will scatter around and run away and won't come back.
