Funnel webs have a conical shape with a wider and a narrower opening at the two ends that are mostly made by funnel webs spiders. The web itself would look like a small tunnel going to the spider's nest. Its opening would mostly have a funnel-like shape. Be very careful as you approach a funnel web spider as they have a large number of different toxins in the venom and are potentially deadly.

The spider that resembles a swollen tick is likely the funnel-web spider, particularly species like the funnel weaver. These spiders have a rounded, bulbous abdomen that can give them a tick-like appearance. Additionally, some orb-weaver spiders may also appear similar due to their large, rounded bodies. However, it's essential to note that while they may look alike, spiders and ticks belong to different biological classes.
