Any animal that is faster, such as birds, lizards, small mammals, and is even sometimes regarded as food to the larger animals if the animal is close to death. Also, if caterpillars get too close to the water, they can be eaten by fish or frogs. Caterpillars are also prey to many other bugs and insects, including Spiders.
