The only way to get free bees is to collect a honey bee swarm. Get your friends and neighbours to tell you if they see one. A note of caution. If you are new to beekeeping I strongly urge you to contact a local beekeeper or your local beekeeping association for help and guidance. There is a lot to learn and you can't get it all from books.
