• cleaning your hair regularly
• comb through your hair thoroughly every time you wash
• keep your hair tied up if you have long hair (they tend to hide in long hair)
• before you put shampoo in put 20-25 drops of tea tree oil in it will definitely keep them away!

There are many things that are said to help get rid of lice. What i found helped personally, was buying the lice shampoo and then combing through your hair. Another way that is a little more fun is to permanently dye your hair. The chemicals in the dye will kill the lice and make their eggs not develop. But the best way.... shave your head.
