Entomologists are the people who study entomology, the science of the insects
yes! yes indeed it is!! that sort of study would be in the department of Entomology which IS the study of insects
1. One that does not study and read ! ... 2. Not an insect
One prefix that means insect is "entomo" or "entom." This is commonly used in words like entomology, or the study of insects.
Life tables give the most comprehensive description of the age-specific survival rate and fecundity of insect populations. These information can also be used to project the population growth and stage differentiation. Using life table, we can compare the population growth potential of an insect on different host plants, under different environmental conditions. It can be used to compare different insects under the same conditions. If we combine the life table study with consumption rate study of a pest insect, we can also estimate the damage of a insect population to a crop plant. If we combine the life table study with predation rate study of a predatory insect, it is also possible to estimate the potential of this predator as an agent of biological control. Life table is the most important basis for qualitative and quantitative study of population ecology. (Prof. Dr. Hsin Chi, hsinchi@dragon.nchu.edu.tw)
A fly with a long abdomen is significant in the study of insect morphology and behavior because it can provide insights into the species' evolutionary adaptations, reproductive strategies, and feeding habits. The length of the abdomen can indicate the fly's specific ecological niche and role in the ecosystem. By studying these characteristics, researchers can better understand the diversity and complexity of insect life.
Bees are generally studied by entemologists, but an entemologist is someone who studies insects in general. If a person were to study bees to the exclusion of any other type of insect he would be an apiologist.

Some famous entomologists include Thomas Eisner, E.O. Wilson, and May Berenbaum. These scientists have made significant contributions to the field of insect study through their research and discoveries.
Entomology is the branch of science that deals with the study of insects. It focuses on their anatomy, physiology, behavior, ecology, and taxonomy. Entomologists play an important role in understanding insect diversity, interactions with the environment, and their impact on ecosystems.
