Attached to an insect's thorax are * The head * The abdomen * Six legs * Two or four wings (occasionally absent)There are several things attached to the insect's thorax. The thorax is attached to the head, legs, wings and abdomen.
Head, thorax and abdomen are the main three.
2 Pairs. One nearer the head, and one nearer the abdomen.
The presence of four legs, shells, scales, or wings differs among insect species. While most insects have six legs and some have wings, there are exceptions to these characteristics within the insect world. For example, not all insects have wings; some may have only three pairs of legs due to evolutionary adaptations.
It's called the thorax, and bears all three pairs of legs and two pairs of wings. Inside, it's pretty much only muscle, to power all that. Internal organs are in the abdomen, the hind part of the animal. ^^

The "stinger" is actually an ovipositor which allows the female to deposit eggs into rotting wood.
Flies are insects. They have six legs, three main body sections (head, thorax and abdomen) and have two sensory appendages. Spiders are arachnids. They have eight legs, two main body parts (head and abdomen) and never have sensory appendages.
Butterflies have six legs, two antennae, and four wings. Their wings are covered in tiny scales that give them their vibrant colors and patterns. Butterflies have a long, coiled proboscis that they use to drink nectar from flowers.
Two sets fo wings (four total) and three sets of legs (six total). The prothorax carries legs, metathorax legs and wings, and meosthorax legs and wings. Not all adult insects have two sets of wings, but they all have six legs. Other arthropods have different parts all toghether.
Three pairs for insects, four for arachnids, five for crustaceans and many for centi/millipedes.
Arthropods are divided into four main groups: Insects: Characterized by three body segments (head, thorax, abdomen), six legs, and often wings. Arachnids: Have two body segments (cephalothorax and abdomen), eight legs, and typically no antennae or wings. Crustaceans: Usually aquatic, with two body segments (cephalothorax and abdomen), multiple pairs of legs, and two pairs of antennae. Myriapods: Distinguished by elongated bodies with many segments, each bearing one or two pairs of legs, and include centipedes and millipedes.
Some facts about beetles include that they all have four wings. There are an amazing 300,000 species of beetles in the world and this insect comes in a large array of sizes and colors.
