As a full member, the Professional Accountant (SA) can prepare inter alia financial statements and perform an Independent Review of certain entities' financials. With this as well as the other functions the Professional Accountant (SA) performs within their field of expertise, the SAIPA member can either open up their own practice and provide tax, advisory and accounting services to individuals and companies, or can find employment in a high level finance/ accounting position at any organisation. The SAIPA membership status is an assurance to any employer that the member is current in terms of their knowledge and skills (due to the CPD requirement) as well as is bound by a code of ethics (through the Member Code of Conduct). The member is also able to take advantage of our international standing (as a full member of the International Federation of Accountants as well as our reciprocal agreements with professional bodies abroad)
