Through water sources or in the process of eating their prey may be two ways in which ladybugs obtain water. For example, moisture doesn't have to be available just from water bodies or rainfall events. It can be found on and in plants, and on and in the ground and such ground covers as grasses. Additionally, there's the moisture that's found in the bodies of prey and in the moisture that's generated by the processes of digestion.
