Earthworms have bristles around their bodies which act as anchors when they push themselves forward or backward using strong stretching and contracting muscles. This motion gives the impression that they are wiggling but it is actually the way they move.
In fact, it dosen't. But it does wiggle, as it can breath underwater.
They back-up into the food so their anus sucks up the food(nutrition) and it goes thru the intestine to the crop and gizzard
If you are really good at wiggling your ears, you can probably do it.......
Earthworms respond to vinegar by moving away from the vinegar because of the vinegars fumes.
"Wiggle" typically refers to a quick, small movement from side to side. "Waggle" usually describes a back-and-forth or side-to-side movement, like the movement of a tail or a golf club before a swing.
Earthworms do not actively disperse seeds, but they can inadvertently help in seed dispersal by moving seeds along with the soil as they burrow and tunnel through it. Some seeds may stick to the earthworms' bodies and get carried to new locations, aiding in seed dispersal.
Well, when they are moving, they do not have a backbone so that they can "wiggle" around better. Humans have backbones, so we can not going to wiggle around like worms.
