they are attracted to the light ! :)
Moths are known for being attracted to bright lights.
Moths are attracted to lights because they navigate by keeping a light source at a constant angle, so they end up flying in circles around it due to their instinctual behavior. This behavior can be confusing for moths, as artificial lights can disrupt their natural orientation.
they like the sun because its bright and moths are stupid

I know that Black lights and mercury vapor lights (including CFLs) attract more moths than incandescent lamps, but I'm not sure if black lights are better than mercury vapor lights.
Tiger moths are a part of the family Arctiidae. These moths are bright in color and have markings similar to the tiger, which help give this insect its name.
Moths eat natural substances such as hair and they enjoy eating fabric such as wool and silk. They like to stay out of the light so I would say the basement or in between the folds of clothing and fabrics.
Mosquitos sometimes do moths also do.
