Sulfur candles are the fastest way to get rid of roaches, and anything that moves that you don't want in your house. It works great in heavely infested places. Roaches do not come back for a long, long time. This was in the 1970's. I am not sure whether you can get the real original sulfur candles anymore. But I am looking because I want to be ready for bedbugs if they happen to invade my home.
Growing up and living in farn areas, we had bed bugs and my family being poor burned sulphur (not candles) straight plain sulphur and it killed the bed bugs and all other insets. Once the sulphur is burned and flies tried to swarmed into the house they dropped dead. Then we had to sweep up the dead flies!! HaHa. Sulphur works.
Sulfur candles are primarily used for fumigation and disinfection purposes. They release sulfur dioxide gas when burned, which has properties that can kill insects, mites, and molds. They are commonly used for pest control in areas such as greenhouses, storage areas, and unoccupied buildings.
