In the USA? Most likely not. Child labor laws are against it but it doesn't mean you can't find work as a dog walker or etc. You cannot go under any company and receive a paycheck and pay social security and such. So it's a no for the companies but yes for you. There are jobs that need to be done for however by whomever, it just has to be your own thing.

You can't legally work in most states. In some states you can deliver newspapers. Your best bet is babysitting, mowing lawns, raking leaves, etc. You can not legally work at a store, restaurant, etc.

Sure there is! You could babysit, rake leaves, do simple lawn care, mow, ask around the neighborhood, especially older people around the area that can't get around very well that might need the extra help around their place. :)

Can a kid get a job at 12? Well of course, you can walk the dog, baby-sit, or even ask mom or dad to give you allowance when you do good in school or do chores. I think kids should be able to work so that their parent's don't have to spend as much and the kid doesn't have to worry about NO coming out of their parent's mouth.

Yes, a 14 year old can get a job in Illinois. Fast food restaurants, camps, pools, supermarkets and some retail stores all hire at 14.
