I'm a little confused about your question so i think a police officer CAN NOT pick you up at work because the police officer might pick you up at work and then he/she might get a call and he/she will have to go with you and take you where you want to go but he/she wont have time because she/he will have to go deal with the problem that he has at work.
OR
They could take you to where you want to go if they pass right by you if you need to get somwhere and you dont want to walk because it is miles away because im sure i would NOT call 911 just so they can give you a ride to pick you up at work im sure you would get in trouble.
