Absolutely.

This is a question to ask the employer.
An employer cannot base their hiring decision on whether or not a candidate is taking prescription medication. As a matter of fact, this is not a legal question for an employer to ask on and application or during an interview.
You need cetified by the state first so call the capitol and ask for the info.
Not to the test subject, they don't. Most employers who drug test will specify a "standard" test for them. Quite often it's just the "SAMSHA-5" drug test--pot, cocaine, PCP, opiates and amphetamines/methamphetamines. But the employer can specify other drugs--barbiturates and benzodiazepines are commonly tested for. They can also ask for specific tests--they can ask for prescription drug abuse screening, tobacco, alcohol, whatever they want. I think there are some protected classes--they can't ask that you be tested for AZT, which is an AIDS drug, or Trobicin, which cures gonorrhea. But yes, they can send you in to be tested for any drug they want. There are even drug tests that will look for hundreds of drugs at once--they cost several hundred dollars so they're used for stuff like checking people into rehab (where you want to see EVERYTHING the patient is on) or trying to treat a drug OD when you don't know what the patient took.
When you are arrested for a driving while intoxicated offense, a police officer will ask you to submit to a chemical test to determine your blood alcohol content or drug level. This is called the "implied consent" law.
Some jobs may ask you to take a drug test . Police officers may apply a drug test on you if you were caught in some situation which appears was caused by drugs. Drug tests are obligatory in soem situations.
Employers can ask that in every state.
Yeah, before you are hired. It takes them only a couple of days to get the results but if there is something in your system the toxicology lab will call you first and ask if you are on any prescribed drugs before giving the results to the employer. If you are they can not disclose that positive result to the employer.
If you have a prescription, you can show it to your tester or employer and be retested later when you are off of the medication. If you do not have a prescription, then you will probably get fired. a drug test for weed? if you're in the army you could be dishonorably discharged. but depending on who you are they may just pretend it didn't happen. but you didn't say what you have to take the test for. for school? for work? what job? for the army? marines? air force? they will probably discharge you. for sperm donation? they will probably turn you away.
Ethyl alcohol (beverage alcohol) is composed of carbon, hydrogen and oxygen. The chemical formula is C6H5OH. That is how air is made not alcohol and AKA alcohol is made from grains and fruits and vegatables that are produced and fermented. That includs all kinds of liqour, wine, and beer. Now does it ring a bell???
AnswerI believe it's the same all around the country but I'm not sure. I think you must be 18 to sell tobacco and 21 to sell alcohol. But ask your employer. They will know.
