No we can' live without math, math lessons in these days. In our day to day life math lessons holds an important role.

Since you are 11, you have plenty of time to work on your math skills. College, where you will pick up your Bachelor of Science, will not look at anything but your high school grades.

Then in college, you will need to get a high Grade Point Average (GPA) and do well on your Graduate Record Exam (GRE) and get a high score on your Medical College Entrance Exam (MCAT) to get into Medical School.

As far as Nursing School, they will give a RN after two years. But the problem is that many hospitals are now requiring four years of school and a BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing).

There are many categories of doctors in India. Allopath, Ayurved, Homeopath, Unani etc. For an M B B S entrance one must have offered Physics, Chemistry and Biology at plus two level. For other courses students from Art side are also given opportunity. Since mathematics is a complete science, proficiency in Maths helps a lot in the study of medical sciences.
