Can you work in a vets at age 15?

if you go to your local riding school and ask if they have any voluntary jobs available most will take you on but unfortunately most riding schools aren't insured to employ anyone under the age of 16 there for you will not be paid unless you get lucky.sorry =[ aswell as this there is no way anybody without qaulifications would beable to get a job in a vets wether it dealt with larger animals or not as you need qaulifications.you may be able to ge a receptionists job when you are 16 but it would not involve directly handling animals. sorry agin =[ one thing i can suggest is that you try your local dog groomers or something like that?i know it isn't large animals but some groomers go out and clip horses aswell and also handle cats and dogs that was my first job!maybe you could also try your local tackshop and feed merchants they may have a job available helping to stock shelves and deal with customers?that was my 2nd job!but i am afraid there is not alot you can do until you are 16.sorry =[ ella mallabone

Find a local trainer or show/racing barn. Ask them if they need help. She may start out mucking stalls and doing some grooming, but if she is dedicated, interested, hard working, she can easily prove her self worthy of doing some conditioning and if... talented training. I have had many kids start this way (as did I when I was 12!)

Yes.

Go to the local vet clinic that you would like to work at and ask them, or alternatively give them a call. You won't be able to help with surgical procedures (obviously), but you could get a job helping to clean and bathe the animals, feed them, and do cleaning. This job would be comparable to volunteering at the Humane Society (from experience, a very rewarding job). Just contact the clinic you're looking at and see.
