Sometimes people are fired for very little reason, so if you were doing your job and just had a personality conflict by a superior it's best to tell the truth. Once I had a job where the Supervisor was the "Lady Dragon" and if she didn't happen to like the color of your eyes one day you could be heading out the door with your pink slip. I was interviewed by a very good company and I simply told the truth. I got the job. You must have a work record from more than one company, so if you have had good Letters of Recommendations and only one firing then you have high hopes of being hired. Good luck Marcy

∙ 16y agoYou can say: "I was unaware of the gravity of my infraction. But now I realize that my behavior was wrong and that company policy was introduced for a reason and although I may not have understood (or agreed with) the intention behind the policy, I should have asked someone about it before acting against it. I have learned from my mistake and I would never again repeat it." The bottom line: own up to it and show you've learned from it and convince the interviewer you will never do it again.
