To put it professionally, If one wishes to report work done by email to boss , one has to use a format if any used for reporting. If no such format exists , one has to create format in an understandable form specifying planned target , achieved target , & acceptable reasons for low work achieved. One has to send official email & not personal email to boss. Boss's official email & senders official email need to be considered.

If boss/ & sender have no official email generated at enterprise level then email given by boss only should be used .
