One way is to make brochures, like maybe a tri-fold and put them out at a place where you know/trust people like maybe a church or like a park district or place where you do sports. Also, you could make posters and put them up in your neighborhood or maybe put an ad in your local newspaper.

I would suggest using a template in a document processing software application or a template from a website; these help make sure all the information you need to add is included. You'll need to put your name, contact information and job on the business card - just fill in the blanks indicated. After this, you may want to add any special information, such as if you are First Aid or CPR certified, you'll accept infants or toddlers, etc. Once you have the information laid out, then you can add a design or background logo - the template should be able to help you with that as well. As soon as you like the design, either print at home (you can get decent cardstock from an office supply store that will run through most home printers) or you can take your design to a copy shop (FedEx/Kinko's, any office supply store, etc) and have them print a batch for you.
