Remington did not make a "Wingmaster" shotgun in 1936. The Remington Wingmaster (Model 870) was first introduced in 1950. remingtonwingmaster.com
The 870 Wingmaster is still made in .410
Remington had re-introduced the 16 gauge Wingmaster in 4 version as recently as 2002, but there are no 16 gauge shotguns in their 2009 catalog.

First, press the release down by the finger guard, and slide the wooden grip backward. Then to load the magazine, on the underside there's a lip that is black on the newer guns, and silver on the older guns. push the shells in through that, point them towards the barrel of the gun and slide them in they lock in place once they enter the magazine. It should make a clicking sound.
They started in the 50's and still make them. The older ones have a serial number that starts with a T or S. The older ones also have a chrome flap on the underside, the new ones have a black mag flap.
The 870 is a pump action shotgun. The 1100 and the 11-87 are the two standard Remington semi-auto shotguns. In 2008 Remington introduced an 870 with Pheasant and Duck engraving and a semi-fancy claro walnut stock. This was a premier dealer gun. http://www.remington.com/products/firearms/premier_dealer_exclusives/model_870_wingmaster.asp
Winchester did not make a model 810 wingmaster shotgun.Remington made a model 870 Wingmaster shotgun,is this what you are asking about?
Not a Model 412, a 410 bore shotgun. Pump, Auto, ??? More information needed. If it is a .410 20 years ago the only think that comes to mind they made is a 870 Wingmaster (pump) Well the 11-48 but it would have to had been at least 20 years old when you bought it. The Remington Society of America forums would help you out.
Make the shells into a necklace.
Remington does make a combo shotgun rifle, the Model SPR94.
Most hold ammo in tube under the barrel. Make sure firearm is empty then unscrew the end cap on tube/magazine. Plug should be there.
