A few shine shoes, some are grocery clerks, butchers, bakers, beggar-men, thieves. Most like most Americans they work where labor is available in the dwindling manufacturing sector, on increasingly mechanized farms, in hospitals, fire houses, police departments and sanitation jobs. They are teachers, priests, scholars, poets, painters, doctors, lawyers, panhandlers, bankers, corporate executives, carpenters, plumbers, electricians, soft ware engineers, college professor and pre school care providers, They run the trains, planes, buses and auto repair sector providing every element that an industrial society requires. They operate push carts and atomic reactors, they plow the fields, slop the hogs, milk the cows and dig graves. They work. They labor. They are the life blood of the nation. They are the citizens who serve to preserve, protect and defend. They are the American Taxpayers who feed their families, educate their children and continue to dream the American Dream.
