I did my best to time my own blinks and estimated it takes around 60ms to close my eyelid, which is an estimated 1cm. Therefore I could close my eye 16.7 times in a second if I didn't have to change direction to reopen. That translates to 1000 times a minute, 60,000 times an hour -- or 60,000 cm an hour.
This shocked me quite a bit. 0.6km/h seems pretty darn slow.
Since you asked the question in MPH, 0.6km = 0.372823 miles.
A Blink of the Eye is a 0.40 of a second a 99 mph baseball is 0.395 of a secondwhich means the baseball is faster if you don't believe watch the pros that throw 95 mph if you blink you will not the see the ball

Don't blink. Blink and you're dead. They are fast. Faster than you can believe. Don't turn your back. Don't look away. And don't blink. Good Luck.
