Typically, students attend a University for four years majoring in Biology or biomedical science before applying for vet school. Once accepted, vet students begin another 4 years of study in veterinary medicine before graduating as a DVM. Vet School is very competitive with most under grad students applying with a 3.8-4.0 gradepoint average!!!! Females now average 50% of most vet school classes!
