Fact--Each state has its own rules of licencing, in Minnesota you are required to take 90 hours of pre-license courses, course 1, 2, & 3, each course is 30 hours, then required to take a two part State test, administered by the state, pass that and pay a fee, then you are a real estate agent! To become a Realtor you must join the local, state, and National Association of Realtors, approx. $400 dollars, also many other fees for the MLS, errors and ommisions insurance, ect. depending on the brokerage you join.
