For entering the GATE program you need to get an ADVANCED in your and grade State scores. For me i live in California and i don't know if other states have this program. My parents really didn't mind if i join the program of not but all i know is that you can only take the exam in Elementary school and the Gate program is useless in Middle and High school... unless you are applying your knowledge.

So the main points are that:

-The GATE program is only used in elementary school

-You have to have gotten an advanced in State testing

-and you can join at any time... while you are still in elementary school
