A masters and doctorate level with the master taking 1 to 2 years after the bachelors degree and the doctorate an additional 2 to 3 years after that. With a masters you can become a licensed mental health counselor or marriage and family therapist or social worker but you have to carefully examine the licensure requirements in the profession you want to pursue and make sure you are taking a program and courses that will get you what you want.
