I'm an F1 Dr, my take home pay is £10.90 per hour. Basic salary is £22,000/annum. Each hospital is banded depending on how busy it is.

No banding means no evening, night or weekend shifts and your salary is basic.

Band 1c is 20% on top of basic, 1b is 40% on top of basic.

Band 1a is 50% on top.

Band 2 is 80% and band 3 is 100%

(there are no band 3 hospitals left in England, not even in London).

I'm band 1a (50%) so my total salary is £33,000 a year, but my take home pay per month after tax is £1900.
