The salary rates differ from state to state. In California, teens must have a work permit, signed by their school. There are certain restrictions as to the type of work, and the number of hours they are allowed to work. The minimum wage here is $7.50.
There is an exception for learners, regardless of age, who may be paid not less than 85% of the minimum wage rounded to the nearest nickel during their first 160 hours of employment in occupations in which they have no previous similar or related experience. Definition of Learners:
Employees during their first 160 hours of employment working in occupations in which they have no previous similar or related experience. A learner may be of any age.
Many companies will not hire workers under the age of 18 because the labor laws are too restrictive, and because their insurance companies frequently have an exemption clause for minors, or add a surcharge for minors.
What you charge depends on the situation. Are you driving to the place, or are the parents driving you? How many kids are you watching? Are you babysitting at your house or theirs? Do the children have any disabilities or Allergies? What hours are you babysiting? Do you have to cook or clean? Do you have to put the kids to bed? Do you have to bring things to keep the kids occupied? How old are the kids? How well behaved are the children? And finally, how long are you staying? Each of these can be a contributing factor to your pay, and so I recommend you get as much information as you can about the family, and base your price off that. From what I have looked up, a fair price is $8.00, but that is a general. If you have to deal with other complications, you should raise your price accordingly. I hope this helps! Spell check says there are errors, I warn you of that, however I was unable to see them
Roughly $4-$8 an hour. It does depend on the area you live in, what the child's age is, and if you are experienced or not. For example, I live in kind of a poor area, this is my first job babysitting, and I am 12 so I am getting $3.10 an hour for a 3 year old little girl. That's also what the family offered to pay me and some girls will take anything the family offers to pay them. HOPE THIS HELPED!

About $25 dollars, give or take a few dollars, you should be getting about $5 an hour. At the lowest, maybe $3?
i think if they are mature enough and if the baby is happy they should get paid a little bit if they babysat for like 4 hours and had change diapers and had to feed them. TEN YEAR OLDS SHOULD GET PAID!
