ussually the store that you are applying to be a waiterwill tell you the age but i believe it is ussually 16+ years of age To be a waiter, you have to be old enough to serve liquor in your state, if your restaurant has liquor on the menu. Most places, it is 18 years old.

In Alberta, Canada you can be 14 to work as a hostess at a restaurant.

No, it's not legal to even have a job at 14. To be a waiter the minimum age is 18 in some places. But most places want older than 18.

18 at a restaurant. 21 if there is alchohol. restaurants hire hosts/hostesses 16+ years old.

Most places you can't. but you can start off as a busser then become a waitress.
