It really depends on the company, and the person hiring, I suppose. I can say, that years ago, husband and I owned a small company. We were interviewing for a graphic artist. After interviewing one person, the next day, we received a 'special delivery' letter from him, thanking us for the interview and expressing his desire to work for our company. He got the job.
