Some models do extremely well and become wealthy and famous, however, you have to be just amazingly beautiful in order to be that successful. There are, let us remember, about seven billion people in the world, which creates a lot of competition. Even if only one person out of ten thousand is exquisitely beautiful, that still comes to about seven hundred thousand exquisitely beautiful people in the world, and the demand for fashion models is not nearly that high (there may be a thousand people in the world who make their living as models). How good is it to become a model?
There is no 'standard' of how your life would be as a model. The average modeling career ends around age 21. Most models do not on to achieve the kind of fame which supermodels have done, and thus do not get to extend their careers beyond that, and do not get to sell rights to their name for profit, make money from product endorsements, etc.
