I have experience with this. Ever single man in my family has become a longshoreman. There has been a lot of heated conversations lately about the legality of union work, and people saying that individuals hide behind unions, living lazily from one day to the next, and I'll tell you that that is true. But there are downsides to every system. The one thing that I can tell you without a doubt is that those men are some of the hardest workers that I have ever seen in my entire life.
