Having an IQ for 100 is the average and since you have 126, you are over average. I'm 13 and I took an IQ test and my results were an ave of 126 and I didn't know if it was good or not till I asked and so yeah, I guess 126 is a pretty good score lol Gud jobz!

I'm quite jaw-droppingly lazy... sometimes... including today... so I'll just copy and paste my answer to a similar question. -

Well, I've got have several aliases and pen-names and identities and the like (only on the internet, to counteract any... weird. ideas), frequently answer and pose complicated political questions on more forums and comments than I care to mention nor can remember, have the highest grades in the whole of the primary department and most of the secondary, and in writing and English am working three years ahead (I've ran out of national tests, and may soon be going on to Standard Grades), with the 15 year olds. I've read Tolkien and Asimov and have a bookshelf specifically dedicated to Penguin Classics, and have published an essay on my own interpretations of the Book of Revelation on several writer's sites.

Not that I mean to boast.

I'm twelve and I have an IQ of 126, meaning that basically you're at least as awesome as me.

Yes, it is good. 100 is the theoretical average IQ in the general population. Depending on the measure used, every 10 to 15 points above/below that represents a 'standard deviation', or a significant difference from the next closest standard deviation. When the IQ becomes one's focus, that is not good at all. It has usefulness, but the usefulness is limited. It might help you decide whether or not you will be happy going for a career in theoretical physics, or medicine, law, education, etc. etc. Beyond that, forget about it. I have come across people who actually act entitled, because they announce a particularly impressive IQ. It's like insisting that the world owes you a living because you are, for example, 6 feet tall. Knowing your IQ is fun and interesting-- then you should get over it and follow your passions and dreams.
