If your program is not accredited (by CAAHEP or something similar), you have to work as an ultrasound tech for an additional year after graduation before sitting for the registries, and it's hard to find a job that will let you do that. If your program is accredited and you are willing to relocate, you shouldn't have much trouble finding a job, especially if you are RVT or RDCS.
