The place is usually at home or where ever the Manga-ka is comfortable. It depends on who the Manga-ka is. One might like a quiet small area, while another likes a large noisy area. They usually write/draw in their own homes. Sometimes they might rent office space (if they don't live alone). They tend to move to Tokyo, as this is where the magazines are located, but some live in other areas of Japan and fax/mail in their stories. Business with the editors and other staff is usually done over the phone. All magazine editors and companies live in Japan, so you'd have to move to Japan. === ===
