If I wanted to hire a cashier, I'd want to evaluate the applicant's skills in a variety of areas, including:
1. Interpersonal skills
2. Common Sense
3. Ethics and Honesty
4. Mathematical Ability
I would write a 2-part test. Part 1 would include questions for 1. Interpersonal skills,
2. Common Sense, and 3. Ethics and Honesty.
Some example questions might be:
1. You are the only cashier working in a small store. A customer asks for help getting a product from the shelf. You would....
a). Tell the customer it's a "self-serve only" store
b). know that according to store policy, you can lock the cash register and help the customer
c). leave the cash register as is so you don't get locked out of it and go help the customer
2. A customer buys $7.84 in merchandise and hands you ten dollars. But when you give the change, the customer claims he gave you a $20.00 bill. The store manager is gone. You should...
a) give the man $20 and bag his purchases
b) give the man the difference between $7.84 and 20.00
c) tell the customer to return when the manager returns
If it was my store, I'd include questions about common situations that happen to cashiers. Include general questions about how to check IDs, run credit cards, how to resolve problems (such as credit card being rejected).
On the mathematics test, include a large number of basic math, including addition, subtraction, etc. Make sure to include a few trickier questions, like a product usually at one price but it is now 2/for another price. Include math calculating in situations when customers try to defraud the store (like, I gave you a 20 but really the customer gave just a ten).
Think about what qualities you want cashiers to have, then write your test questions based on those qualities.
you need an O.P. 25 to become a Head Cashier.... ROD!
A cashier can be described on a resume as a customer service representative. A person could also use sales associate to describe a cashier position on a resume.

The average annual salary of a cashier is only around 19,000 dollars a year. This is often a starting position for teenagers or a part time position for many.
A cashier works at a cash register and handles the payment of the bill by the customer. Cashiers require some training before they begin the job. A sales associate places items in their proper areas on the shelves, keeps the shelves neat and answers customer questions.
There are many cashier jobs available other than the bank. You can be a cashier in multiple grocer companies such as Wal-mart, Target, and many more industries.
The duties of a bagger and cashier can be quite different. So if you want to be a cashier, then you ought to write that down on your job application as the position you're applying for.
18 or older if that answers your question.
It shouldn't unless the position requires you to operate one of the companies vehicle.
As a Western Union cashier, you are primarily responsible for working with customers. You will cash checks, prepare checks, answer customer questions, and handle money.
