No it is not. Adult Numeracy qualifications are competency qualifications and are assessed by means of a 1-hour, 40 question multiple choice questions - this is not as full as a complete GCSE. The two awards are at the same level but not equal in coverage of maths. Yes they are, there are many unit's of course work to complete, before you can sit the test. Numeracy Level 1 - GCSE D - G

Numeracy Level 2 - GCSE A - C

Is a distinction in numeracy level one City and Guilds equivalent to GCSE?

A distinction in numeracy at Level 1 from City and Guilds is not directly equivalent to a GCSE. While both are recognized qualifications, GCSEs are typically at Level 2 and demonstrate a higher level of understanding and skills. Level 1 qualifications, including City and Guilds numeracy, serve as foundational skills and may be viewed as a stepping stone toward achieving a GCSE.

Is a level 2 english the same as a gcse?

A Level 2 English qualification, such as Functional Skills English Level 2, is not the same as a GCSE in English. While both demonstrate proficiency in the English language, a GCSE is a more comprehensive and widely recognized academic qualification typically taken by students at age 16. In contrast, Level 2 qualifications are often aimed at adult learners or those seeking to improve their skills for employment or further education. However, some Level 2 qualifications may be accepted as equivalent to a GCSE for certain purposes.

I am 16 and i amtaking my gcses i have already achieved a btec in science equivelent to 4 A'S at GCSE a btec in retail at grade A equvilent to 2 gcse's NVQ diploma GCSE can i get into uni?

As long as you have an equivalent of 5 GCSE's between C-A* this does not matter. It is your A level ( or higher equivalent grades) that matter. This depends on what you want to do, but as long as you have 3 good A levels you are likely to be excepted. However, you do require a good GCSE maths and English grade ( usually a C or B as a minimum.) If you wanted to specialise in something then you often need a B or above in that subject for both GCSE and A level.
