During maintenance following test to be done :
transformer oil test
ht / lv side insulation test also hv to lt
oil temperature trip / alarm
winding temperature trip / alarm
bukkhoze relay trip / alarm
PRV setting to ok
MOG trip / alarm etc.
The incoming voltage from the source to the transformer is called primary voltage.
step-down transformer
step- up transformer
A; Terminology is not correct a transformer is not really a source but rather a device to transform one source of power to some power that can be used as required minus efficiency of power transfer

Electrical (alternating current)
Not necessarily -only if you come into contact with the source voltage. But it won't do the transformer any good, as they only work on a.c. Attach a d.c. supply at its rated voltage, and you'd likely burn out the transformer's primary winding,
A CT is a measuring device but does not step up or step down voltage like a transformer will.
To split 220 volts into two 110-volt circuits, you will need a transformer that is capable of reducing the voltage from 220V to 110V. You would connect your 220V power source to the primary side of the transformer and then connect two separate circuits to the secondary side of the transformer to access the 110V output. Be sure to follow proper safety precautions and consult an electrician if you are unsure about handling electrical components.
A transformer consists of two separate coils of wire, known as the primary and secondary winding, wrapped around an iron core or ring. The primary coil is connected to a source of alternating current, inducing a changing magnetic field, which in turn induces a voltage in the secondary coil. This allows for the efficient transfer of electrical energy between circuits with different voltages.
